The Evolution of Annie. 2019.

There was a permanently tear-dropped girl who was merely a drawing. Full of life, brief in existence, and leaving a footprint as scarce as her presence.

A character on cotton, a stuffed toy, rhinestone transfer sheets, even just a concept announced that never materialized. A question you couldn't answer, printed in plastisol ink. She belonged to no one and everyone — no form, no boundary, no permission asked. And the strange thing, the thing nobody planned, is that people found each other through her. Thousands of them. Not fans. Something closer. Strangers who recognized, in a childlike scribble, the exact shape of their own unnamed feeling. Mad at themselves for being angry at the world yet still thankful—for everything and nothing at once.

That was the whole trick: she was never real enough to hold. Annie moved through, said what she came to say, and vanished — a creative destination with no walls and no closing hour, releasing work that refused to be categorized.

Ephemeral by design. Loved because it could end at any moment. But here is what the ephemeral never gets to know: it is remembered longer than the permanent.

Seven years. Her footprint never faded. People carried it — in the folded shirt, in the screenshot, in the line they still quote to someone who gets it.

So the channel becomes a place. A permanent one. Built for the work you're making, the person you're becoming, and everything we choose to remember together.
